More discrimination [View all]

This time with medical benefits. My daughter just found out that an Upscale Retail Chain incorporated in NYSE, where Marriage Equality is Legal, requires spouses of GAY couples to have to wait a full year to cover them under their medical insurance, BUT spouses of STRAIGHT couples can cover their spouses IMMEDIATELY.

Yes, I know many places, and states, won't cover legally married gay couples at all, but if they DO, it most certainly should be the same coverage for ALL married couples. Maybe they were waiting for Romney, and the Repukes, to ban Marriage Equality in all the states? Sorry. guys. out of luck on that one.

All this MUST be overturned on the FEDERAL level. Just like with Interracial Marriage, there simply cannot be a hodgepodge of different laws across the states. If you are legally married in one state, you must be legally married in ALL states.
