Very often I've found that Wikipedia is a decent source.

BLM? Find the language symbol and check out other web pages, all Wiki, written and maintained by volunteers of various degrees of reliability.

For colloquial phrases that aren't worthy of an article it can be chancy--find wiki pages that use them and the other-language equivalent might not put things the exact same way. (And very often a certain English expression might translate awkwardly, because "that's not how we say things.&quot
