Social Security Act of 1935. Taken for granted by every generation since.
That’s the law he’s signing in the picture
That stern-looking woman behind him had a lot to do with it—Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins.



But with FDR, there were many great accomplishments during his time, the Banking Act of 1933 which created the FDIC, saved the banking system, Lend Lease, entered the way against Nazi Germany on the quiet side & expanded the Merchant Marine services, the TVA, which pulled most of the Appalachian regions out of dire rural poverty & laid the foundations for the economic & social growth of the US South.....
And there are several others.

He really is our 3rd greatest POTUS in my opinion.
