2. When my dear Golden was a half grown pupper, he was sad when the snow was gone from the yard come spring

One day on a walk, he sniffed the air, got a bearing and nearly dragged me to where there was still a patch of snow in the shadow of a little bank. You never saw a dog so happy to find the last 5x8 foot patch of left over winter.
