Tomato House (fruit-fly free storage) [View all]

Here's how I'm ripening my tomatoes on the counter this year:



I have three of these little glass houses so I can enjoy watching my tomatoes ripening, but they also keep the fruit flies out.

To the left is an upside-down wine glass, but it isn't working so well. I don't think there is enough oxygen. For whatever reason, it is not as effective as the "tomato houses."

FYI, these are beefsteaks.
