On the last tip about ripening peaches and avocados, I have been trying to ripen a Bosc pear for well over a week now. It just doesn't want to ripen. It's in a closed brown paper bag. I guess I should put some other fruit with it?

Love the pictures! Wish I could have plants in my kitchen but it's too dark. It has huge windows but faces the north and looks out on a forest.

Keep looking for tips!! Love them, and use them. I'm going to try the baking soda one for degreasing on my kitchen vents.
