What's for Dinner, Mon., June 16, 2025 [View all]

Leek, Cauliflower, and Tarragon soup. I'm using my frozen leek broth, which shortcuts cooking time. Fresh tarragon from the garden: I have to go wading out in the wet pathway to get it, though. Raining here.

Cornbread to go with the soup. I put olive oil butter on it and toast it in the air fryer.

I checked out two of these giant cookbooks from the library. One is Bon Appetit and is nearly 3" thick. The other I heard about on a cookbook forum. It's called 101 Classic Cookbooks. In the front they have color plates of the classic cookbooks and in the back, they have a selection of recipes from each. I found the recipe in the former.

I am having so much fun with these cookbooks, and to think with my library, I can have them out until nearly the end of July!

If you have a minute and like cookbooks, Amazon has a good sample with many pages of the graphics of the Classic Cookbooks.

Tossed greens with cucumbers to go with the meal.

Kombucha: Berry

Dessert: a couple raspberry sandwich cookies and hot tea.
