Did you grow the cukes or get them from the store?

When I was young and a vegetarian, I grew lots of veggies and some fruits and canned a lot. Haven't done it since I moved from CA.
Decades later, hubs now wants to start canning. We've got the supplies, just have to wait for growing season, then we will have canned homemade marinara, hot peppers, hot sauce, and tomatos. If we can revive the blackberry bush, we'll also have blackberry perserves. I think we should expand our plantings this year to include other veggies and maybe find a fruiting fig tree to plant? We're in a new house (new to us) so we will have to figure out where to make a garden. The previous owners have a nice set up for tomatos, but we will have to make another growing space for the rest.
