2. I'm having a bit of anxiety over the pecan pie I'm planning

I'm going to use the recipe in my Cook's Country cook book. And while I have great confidence in the cookbook, I KNOW the recipe isn't like my mom's. It calls for maple syrup instead of corn syrup. And it's served w/ a bourbon whipped cream.

Kind of a big deal to bring a pecan pie to Thanksgiving that isn't like mom's. I'm going to do it anyway, especially since I got all the ingredients. (Maple syrup isn't cheap.)

I've decided Mom wouldn't mind.
