1. Phenylalanine and B-6 are two of the active ingredients

in 5 Hour Energy. Unfortunately the formula carries what will be an overdose of B-6 if the product is used frequently. It also contains caffeine, amount not listed on the label.

Phenylalanine is a precursor to dopamine in the brain and B-6 is supposed to potentiate the conversion. I sincerely doubt a near overdose is necessary to accomplish it, however.
