8. prednisone can work miracles, *but*

it truly does mess with your head. I don't get panic attacks from it, but it gives me insomnia and general ill-ease, even while it unblocks my sinuses. A couple of suggestions (I'm a sinus infection pro--I've had multiple surgeries to open up my sinuses into my nose--you could drive a school bus up there!):

Have you tried Navage? This is a sort of power neti pot, which is a nuisance to use, but it did help me a lot.

Is there any way you could try using oxygen at night *with* the humidifier attachment? This has been a life-saver for me.

Failing those two, I have found Nasacort much more helpful than Flonase. I don't know why Flonase is the be-all and end-all for doctors to recommend, but truly, Nasacort is better.

Try filling a mixing bowl with warm salt water and slurping it up your nose.

I know this is a rotten problem, and I hope you're able to find something that helps without having to take prednisone.
