An enormous cruise ship with 4000 passengers suffered fire and a power outage during a 4 day cruise from Galveston TX to Cozumel in 2013. The lights went out, the toilets would no longer flush, and food was no longer refrigerated. The toilets overflowed and people were given bags to poop in. Eventually the showers (where they were told to pee) overflowed. To make things worse, the company decided to have an open bar.

I'm not a cruise person. But if I did go it would never be on one of these huge ships. When things go wrong in the middle of the ocean, they go really wrong.
