He'll spend the rest of his life in a Narcissistic rage, knowing that history will write him up as a loser. It's that knowledge that has driven him completely insane; his irrational statements and actions and delusions are a futile attempt to avoid that inevitable fate. But somewhere in what's left of his mind, his delusions know what they're running from.
