The Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro and the Inca emperor Atahualpa agreed to a ransom of gold and silver in exchange for Atahualpa's release. The ransom was the richest ever received by the Spanish.

And Pizarro murdered the King of the Incas after the latter handed over the amalgam of riches.

I'm certain Zelensky won't make the same mistake.
