While personally I would prefer no country has nuclear weapons to be honest, the whole point of the Budapest Memorandum was that Ukraine would give up its nuclear weapons for security. But that clearly didn't work since Russia invaded Ukraine. So it becomes a question of why Ukraine shouldn't have nuclear weapons,
