6. Hiring someone to do anything feels like personal failure.

Rough and finish carpentry, wiring, plumbing, accounting, web design, drafting, boat design and contstruction, welding, furniture building, designing and constructing woodworking machinery, sewing, cooking, earthmoving, auto, small engine, motorcycle and diesel engine repair.

In all honesty, many if not most of the tasks I've hired out I've regretted because I could have done it better myself, if only because I know "the customer's" needs.

When faced with a problem, my first stop is the library, not the yellow pages.
