1. Dark is Beautiful

I woke up during a power outage in our little patch of urban sprawl north of Seattle a couple nights ago, and immediately felt the sense of calm and peace that comes with natural darkness. I didn't realize we were participating in International Dark Sky Week, but I'm glad we did.
