1. Very Sad, because Australia has a near perfect Wind Zone.

More than ten offshore wind farms have been proposed in Australia. If these offshore farms are fully developed, their combined energy capacity would exceed that of all the coal-fired power plants in the nation.

The region off Australia's southern coast rivals the north Sea as a wind zone and if developed, could turn Australia into a Wind Super Power.

Ironically, one of the coal fired plans in south Australia will be used to generate Hydrogen for export to Japan. Hydrogen production is a good application for offshore wind because no expensive electric transmission lines are required.
