3. Fossil fuel use increased by 1.3% from 2023 to 2024 to be precise.

It grew by 7 Exajoules to 519 EJ. (Solar and wind each grew by one Exajoule, each to a grand total of 9 EJ after expenditures of trillions of dollars.)

The good news - if one wants to engage in self delusion - is that for the first time this century, again involving "percent talk," that the share of the world supply provided by fossil fuels fell below 80%. It's now 79.4%
