2. They are fairly easy to install

I installed 4 mini split heat pumps in our house 3 12000 btu on the first floor and one 9000 on the second. They are Pioneer with a 19 seer rating. Cost an average of 750 each. With conduit breakers and wiring my cost was under 5000$ for the total install.

And about a week of my time, before having them we relied on a wood stove and baseboard electric heat which only was used when we were not home to keep the pipes from freezing.

We still use the wood stove but not as often and the heat pumps will do the whole house fine it is nice to get up to a warm house even if the stove is out. Coldest it has gotten was -11f and they performed fine.

They are about twice as efficient as window AC units and silent for summer comfort

Added bonus is we installed 9 kw of solar ten years ago and added another 4 to offset the heat pumps so no big impact on our electric bill we pay a little in winter by March solar does all our electricity until October.

They have been the best improvement to the house for overall comfort.
