...there are some in the next generation who are working with some remarkable tools.

I feel the guilt for what we have done, but nonetheless, it does seem feasible that they may be able to restore some of what we destroyed. It will be hard on them to be sure, but I'm not convinced that they will be unable to achieve great things having great tools to do so.
