In reply to the discussion: Why don't we all use bitcoin? [View all]womanofthehills
(10,004 posts)29. If you want to buy NFT's you need ETH
I wanted to get into selling NFTs (digital art, etc) so I got some ETH & Bitcoin. I just bought a little to figure out how it works. Its fun - as my original investment was just enough to have fees connected to selling digital art , but as I could see my $600 almost double - i definitely got interested. The last month its been down but up again this week. You can buy direct from some companies with your bitcoin. When my bitcoin is up, I will purchase stuff - when its down I wont. Now - thru PayPal you can also invest in Bitcoin. I think its fun and a good way to make money.

Bitcoin is loved by criminals & dark web. Outside of that it's no better than meme stocks like DJT & tRump's scam coin.n

Your statement does not contradict mine or make it wrong. The two groups can separately love it. . . nt

Despite its name, it is not a currency created by the government to facilitate commerce.

It has no ties to the production of goods and services. I would stay away from it.

US dollar based on US production. Bitcoin based on convenience for shadows, no production, no "store of value". . nt

That they back it does not provide a base. They can sell it down just as easily as buy it up. . . . nt
