Guarding account numbers [View all]

I shred every piece of paper that has an account number including health insurance ID.

Some come with multiple informative pages that I can just throw away or recycle.

But some have no ID number but one of those 1/4 inch "stamps" that, I think, can be used for Smartphone to scan. Do they really contain identifying info and, therefore, I should shred them, too?
