Personally, I dont think there is anything wrong with it. IF you are firm and are not willing to negotiate, then I would say go for it. What is the worst that could happen, employer doesnt hire you? As you put it in your message, it saves both parties time and grief. You just want to make sure that you sell yourself with your qualifications that is deserving of the salaryy expectation you have. Well Good Luck, and don't settle for less than what you will be happy with. In the long run you will be waisting your time looking for another position that will pay what you are looking for,
