Frozen tilapia at Ralph's increased from $9.99 to $16.99 in 2 weeks. I literally stand in the supermarket isle with my mouth hanging open as I mutter, "What the fuck is this shit?!?!?" and other shoppers notice and then they commiserate with me (as I proudly wear my homemade anti-tRump earrings in my very blue San Diego neighborhood).

Since I have chosen shitty careers as far as income goes (artist then teacher) I have always bought only generic items and food that is in the "3 days old" section of my market. My friends made fun of me. This has been reality my entire life and it is no fun!!!

Now others will find out how much fun it is to go shopping when you are slightly above poverty level and live within your means. It takes me twice as long to shop since I do the mental math as I shop and read and compare labels. I live alone and I do not waste ANY food and only eat out only 3 times a year. My clothes, furniture, and appliances are all over 25 years old and I try to repair everything with duct tape, crazy glue, magnates and safety pins. I can be very creative. I live exactly as my grandparents lived during the great depression. I recycle alum foil, plastic wrap, and food. I have lived this way since 1980. Thanks a lot Raygun!!!!!
