The word "Mangina" was used in the 2005 movie "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo" - though the word predates the movie.

You're correct in that it is a term that is associated with the cult of machismo.
This term does a fantastic job of not only belittling anyone it is used on, but reinforces the notion that, a vagina (or having one) is somehow a bad thing.

It fully reinforces the notion that it is not okay to express one's emotions because "it wouldn't be manly".

Pure bunk.
