11. Looks like I was right - it was Melania who screwed up

I just heard on CNN the the Trump campaign has put out a statement that no one will be fired over the plagiarism incident and they will not be addressing the situation further in the future. The easiest way out of this situation would have been for the campaign would be to blame a speech writer who was at fault and fire that person.

So since no one is to be fired I think this is an excellent indication it wasn't the speech writers who were at fault. You can't fire a professional speech writer and ruin his/her reputation and livelihood when that person isn't at fault without expecting that person publicly defending his/herself.

So if it wasn't the speech writer, that leaves only one option - it was Melania herself who lifted Michelle's words and inserted them into her speech and no one caught it. You also can't fire a speechwriter for not catching the plagiarism without admitting that Melania is the guilty party.

This is the only reasonable explanation why the campaign is "moving one".
