23. The unity displayed by the Ds today is something Sanders hadn't

counted on.

They effectively kicked him and his stillborn revolution to the curb. The D power players have in one day changed the narrative, and Sanders isn't part of that narrative. Not yet.

Of course, they'll welcome him into the Hillary tent should he see the light, but they're moving forward without him at this point. If he doesn't come on board, any protest he or his followers mount at the convention will be seen as taking place outside of the Party. They may as well be the Greens. They won't be seen as Dems.

Again, Sanders' political amateurism was exposed for all to see today. He pushed his way into a meeting at the WH, a move he thought was a power play on his part. But just like Wile E Coyote chasing the Road Runner, Bernie charged in through the front door, after which Obama did nothing to impede his self-serving momentum, opened the back door and allowed Sanders to run himself right off the cliff.

I think that was the point; to show him we'll move on without him if he doesn't want to play nice. CrowCityDem Jun 2016 #1

I bet he doesn't. Squinch Jun 2016 #13
If he doesn't, that would indicate a certain amount of recalcitrance is still operating. Koinos Jun 2016 #15
But as time goes by he is squandering his influence, and he will be less and less able to Squinch Jun 2016 #16

It probably will, but I am not worrying about it. I think in that place and at that time Squinch Jun 2016 #18
