They have been telling us for months that Bernie is a selfless visionary. [View all]
Let's imagine what that would really look like. He's been in the legislature for over 20 years...hard to imagine he isn't abundantly clear on the reality that nothing ever gets done without the backing of both houses of congress. That practical knowledge would lead a selfless visionary to relentlessly promote and encourage fellow progressives to run and win all over the country. That practical knowledge would probably compel him to join an established political party that could provide the structure necessary to prevail against an organized opposition. After many hard fought years of laying the electoral foundation for his programs, he could rightly assume his position as the leader of his coalition, secure in the knowledge that his programs had broad support and that his campaign promises had a distinct possibility of being realized. It would all be very hard work and despite that, it's possible that this selfless visionary might have to pass the baton to someone else to fulfill the promise. But that wouldn't matter to a selfless visionary. To him, only the successful implementation of his programs would matter. I ask you, does any of the preceding in any way resemble the man who would purport to save us from ourselves?
