Hillary Clinton

(12,106 posts)I still think Bernie has a chance to pull this out, show some courage and character and get on board in the fight to defeat Donald Trump. Of course, he must drop the fairytale that somehow the primary is still winnable. He needs to communicate that reality to his supporters and he needs to offer a full-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton, following her example in 2008.
I've always said we would see what Bernie Sanders was truly made of once the primary ended. Because losing really is a test of character. This is a choice for Sanders, whether he offers an open hand or a clenched fist. Whatever legacy he may have following the primary and into the future hangs on that choice.
Btw, I read last night that on Wednesday morning the Democratic Party is ready to shift completely to a GE footing. President Obama, Harry Reid and Joe Biden will come out strongly for Clinton and the party structure and funding apparatus will go into battle posture against all things Trump.
Then the main event really begins.
