Barack Obama
Showing Original Post only (View all)I am going to miss my President. [View all]

I do not want him to leave. A kind, gentle and centered man. Yet he has an inner strength and has shown determination to try to set a course for America. He has done this with all the vitriol and yes, racist hate tossed his way. They tried to make him a one term President. He has been the most disrespected President in our history. That makes me sad America, you seem to have no idea who this man is, or what he is about. They never liked a black man in the White House.
Did anyone really think the change we want could happen overnight? Look at the History of Women, AA, Native Americans and LGBT. Yes we have seen steps, yet we are still all fighting every damn step of the way, crawling, scratching, crying and fighting for OUR rights. For some of us, it has been more than 100 years.
He has a wonderful sense of humor and pokes fun at himself. That is him, that is how he shrugs the hate off. To me, he is the best President ever. I will feel a complete sense of loss when he leaves office.
He has changed lives, he has changed Black Lives.

Look at the smiles on those children in the last picture, especially the one in the middle!

In the interest of full disclosure, that picture is from an appearance that Barack Obama made...

Rock solid in every way. Including his remarkably rock solid job approval over time never mentioned.

Millions of us will. Even more than we know. He'll be getting those 3 a.m. calls. Thanks!

I like him too but let's not pretend he's perfect. He's just the best we've had in about 50+ years.

Nobody ever said President Obama was "perfect".. Too many just wanted him to be or else.
