1. I'm heartened by the support for changing police practices that murder citizens without a trial

There are a few loud voices insisting that killing people for not obeying an officer of the law is acceptable. But it is no longer acceptable.

What isn't changing is the unrelenting bashing of Obama's presidency from nearly every Republican in and out of Washington. It's obscene and unparallelled in our history.

There's a new coalition building. If progressives don't blow it (and begin backbiting each other), there's a chance for substantive change in the corrupt system we now have entrenched in this country.

It's our fight to win. Or lose.
