the executive order to raise minimum wage would be fantastic. People forget that the battles are fought on the streets in this country. Yesterday I wrote about labor unrest a bit - how we used to paint signs, march, and fight for our rights to things like 8-hr work days, a weekend, child labor laws.

The president is an executive - he doesn't sit in his office and pass laws on things. WE need to be active pushing from the streets or there is no threat to the moneyed class. We need to organize to affect the legislation that is passed by Congress.

As far as POTUS, he's been generally less harmful, from my view, than many others from that chamber would be. To the working class that is a positive, but we're also not going to spend all of our time thinking about him ...
