It was very interesting in Sunday School at the UMC last Sunday. One lady who used to be a chemistry teacher - no problems with science - and also owns a major local farm said she'd been wrestling with her religious duties toward the social gospel lately. There's a guy there who's extremely uneducated and uninformed, but he has a bit of conscience and it's been bothering him too. He said he was confused about how rich people ever got into heaven, but he's also resigned to the false notion that he should wait for his reward in the afterlife. With very little class time left, I could only tell him that a person's relationship to their $ or lack thereof was what counted; what they do with it. He really is a guy who tries to help others.
