When I was the newbie, I unwittingly opened a real can of worms by simply asking an honest, loyal question on policy. The problem lay not in the group's policy or reaction, but rather the way outsiders latched onto my innocent question and swamped us with such offal that the thread had to be locked. Not for a moment had I expected that to happen, but oy vey did I ever learn a hard lesson! I think everyone here understood, shall we say, my naivite (I can't spell this morning!) and no one seems to have held it against me. I don't know what it is you said, but honest mistakes can be forgiven the well-intentioned soul. It's just that the rules in here have to be as strict as they are for a very functional as well as philosophical reason.

BTW, your parents gave you one of my favorite names in the entire world.
