You just have to give young people credit, this friend went where many of us would never dare to tread!
Would you take fifteen third graders to a rally for Edward Markey's {D} Senatorial race against Gabriel Gomez {R}. Massachusetts special election for John Kerry's seat! With President Barack Obama as the headliner!
I know, me neither!
They are young and brave and they are helping to move this country forward! Community service at it's best!
Politics 101....you can never start to early. It was a long day for all! Thankfully the President spoke earlier than expected. The children were having a few arguments about who had the best stickers at that point. They are third graders after all! However they paid attention when the President arrived.
As directed, being so much smaller in stature than the rest of the crowd, they raised there shared ipads for viewing. This is how they were able to view history in the making.
Sweet lesson at an early age. they are our hope. They are our future.
Our Children, their education, they are the ones that will lead us forward.
It's happening, the awareness. That leads on a path that we have been long denied!
Thank you my friend. I thank you. Now go home and put a cold compress on your face. You deserve the rest.
