when released became a headache with VB. There is a quirk with the VB conduit or Windows implementation of USB. I read once in an obscure post that there have been problems with USB implementation in WIndows. I've used Linux and Solaris for years and used to be able to configure Linux to update my Garmin, but when Garmin Express came about that ended. I've found I have very little use for WIndows anymore so have not bothered since my recent Linux upgrade, so I just picked up the latest maps chip and installed it in my Garmin. Thanks for your reply!
