...and when I've been going in to gmail, I get a big bar across the top saying that my chosen browser is "not supported" for gmail.

I am trying to avoid any and all contact (ie, support) of AI, especially in my email. AI is evil, and even tech writers who are enthusiastic about it are cautious about what it will do to one's email.
