I think the latest polls show (Liberal leader) Justin Trudeau trailing Harper in popularity, but with the Conservatives falling short of a majority government. If the fall is short enough, there's always the possibility -- or rather hope -- that the Liberals and NDP could form a coalition government. But I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

I'm still hopeful that Tom Mulcair and the NDP can gain ground. At this point, we're still at least a few months away from an election. That's plenty of time for the Liberals to piss people off. Eve Adams*, anyone?

*Does it strike anyone else as portentous that Trudeau has chosen to cast his lot with someone whose name represents two of the biggest losers in the bible? Just sayin'.
