The same thing is being repeated in lots of cities. My apartment is small and expensive and the things that drew us to it to begin with (Northgate Mall, frequent buses to lots of places) have been systematically taken away. My 11-15 commute to downtown is now 40 minutes. And I have to transfer buses or from light rail to bus to go almost anywhere else.
