Feeling the heat in Snohomish County: How hot will it get where you live? [View all]

EVERETT — The Pacific Northwest is about to get its first taste of summer weather, with Wednesday forecasted to be the hottest day of the year so far.

The National Weather Service predicts a high of 82 degrees in Everett, and even higher inland temperatures with a potential high of 89 degrees in Darrington.

It’ll be the “warmest day so far this year and certainly could bring about some concerns to those are who are more sensitive to the heat, or for those who are working outside during the heat of the day,” National Weather Service meteorologist Matthew Cullen said Tuesday.

The heat won’t last long, with brief showers predicted for Wednesday evening into Thursday. But then the sun is expected to come back out with clear skies and highs in the low 70s for Friday and Saturday.
