1 dead after car flies off overpass, lands on I-5 north; Expect backups, 4 lanes blocked [View all]
One person is dead after a car went off the overpass onto the freeway near Interurban in Tukwila. Currently, only one lane is open on Interstate 5 (I-5) north, reported the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson confirmed the fatal collision.

According to Puget Sound Fire, one person died at the scene, one person suffered serious injuries, four other people suffered minor injuries.
The Washington State Department of Transportation stated the four left lanes on I-5 north are blocked, as is the overpass ramp from I-5 north to State Route 599 (SR 599).
