WASHINGTON — Gov. Glenn Youngkin has directed Virginia State Police to open a criminal investigation into Fairfax County Public Schools for allegedly arranging and bankrolling abortions without parental consent.

The probe comes after a report published by Walter Curt detailed allegations of school staff members allegedly facilitating minors to get abortions without parental consent. WC Dispatch, Curt's Substack page, did a deep dive into the allegations.

In his reporting, Curt claims that he obtained his information from an FCPS teacher, who allegedly contacted county officials seven times to report on the situation. In a screenshot of an email, dated August 12, 2025, allegedly between the teacher and a lawyer representing FCPS, the teacher was asked to turn over all evidence they have connected to this case. Plus, they were reportedly told to keep their meeting with the lawyer and all aspects of the case confidential "to ensure the integrity of the case."

WC Dispatch is the only outlet reporting the allegations at this time. However, it has sparked outrage among Virginia officials.
