Coleman Cemetery in Alexandria, VA, is a historically African American cemetery. It was established in 1944 by the Churches and Fraternities Association of Alexandria. The land was purchased with the intention of creating a burial ground for the African American community in Alexandria. Some of the older graves were relocated there from an earlier Odd Fellows Cemetery, according to the Fairfax African American Historical Initiative.
