Police investigating potential murder-suicide in Manassas Park apartment

A 2-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl were among those killed by gunshots, police said.

MANASSAS PARK, Va. — Police are investigating a deadly incident that left four people dead Thursday night in Manassas Park, including two young children.

According to investigators with the Manassas Park Police Department, officers responded to the 9400 block of Lanae Lane for a welfare check around 10:40 p.m. Once there, the officers entered a downstairs apartment and found two adults and two children dead inside. Those killed were identified as Santosh Pariyar, 38, Anju Shrestha, 36, and an unidentified 2-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl. All four people died from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. A gun was also found at the scene.
