They would be better served giving each homeowner $100,000 to relocate. The island is less than 1 foot above sea level in many places. Dumping good money after bad is not the solution. It’s the definition of insanity. The island is not habitable. Nice to visit for day trips in the future, sure, but not sustainable for a host of reasons
