1. The simple solution: Ban fraternities.

As a retired academic, I'm familiar with Greek organizations and though some manage to maintain their respectability, many more do not. Many are simply a permanent social opportunity to get drunk and stay drunk. They generate and maintain a less than respectful view of women that leads to sexual harassment and in some cases, assault.

At least for private universities, fraternities are difficult to eliminate because schools greatly need financial donations from alumni. And many alumni were frat members and would raise holy heck if their "house" was banned. So when frat students "misbehave," the house is suspended for a period of time and then all returns to the previous norm.

Not good.
