But looks to me like Red turnout was very good in high income populated areas, but poor in other areas. Blue areas surprised on the upside except for areas near Philly. Two ideas: 1) Unregistered voters turned out and went Blue, 2) Blue voters that vote for the sitting Congressman who is (R) in lower income areas stayed home because he obviously is not running off-year. I'd venture to say those voters cast their ballots for affiliations - religious, ethnic, and business - and are happy with the direction the country is going.

So Dems made progress but it's still a horse race in a federal election.
