1. Beautiful Part of The Commonwealth

It's been awhile since I've been through that part of PA but I remember the scenery and small-town feel of that city (back in the 90s). Strong Republican bent in that county but I never thought the people themselves were mean or vindictive.

You hold out hope that people's better angels will prevail. When shown the true nature of today's Republicans/Trump maybe they begin to question why they should support these people. As I've told my wife, the current administration is basically cheating the system. They're trying to impose on people's thoughts and attitudes, wrecking the current financial and economic systems and harassing people and institutions who don't kowtow to their agenda. In the long run it's not sustainable. People are going to either leave or resist and we can't function as a community or a nation if we don't exercise some tolerance and empathy for those who are different as well as those who are marginalized or can't truly fend for themselves.
