2. Ohio has been a southern state for some time. The state wide officers are beyond hyper partisan. Mendacity rules. Corporate interests get whatever they want. Even when caught, they are not prosecuted. Although a couple Speakers of the House were indicted, convicted, and sent to a graybar hotel. Citizen initiated ballot issues are sabotaged (Larose, Yost), orignored when passed. Ohio is maybe 56% Repuke voting, thanks to all that, and gerrymandering, the legislature has super majorities. The only statewide Democratic office holder is US Senator Brown. Surprisingly, Ohio has recenty a couple of Democrats on the state supreme court, and most surprisingly and honest Republican (O'Connor) who had to retire at mandatory age 70.
